David Migicovsky

5/23/99: One thing I've discovered (I'm a writer as well) is how little attention most readers pay to nuances. I can't tell you how many on-line arguments I've had with people who think there's no difference between saying "Mary admitted she's a lesbian" and "Mary said she's a lesbian."

While you can make words do what you want them to, it's important to bear in mind that the readers are filtering them through their own prejudices and the sad fact that most people just don't put much thought into what they're reading.
